As CEO and founder of The Myrtum Corporation, Inc. in 2004, Abel Stephen builds on his expertise in several fields, guiding Business and Advancement Strategies for both non-profit and for-profit clients.
Mr. Stephen has more than a decade of successful management and risk mitigation experience modeling solutions for top-tier companies, such as: Computer Associates, International; Bear Stearns & Co., Inc.; Info-Works-Viacom, Inc.; and Kaufman Patricof Enterprises. Additionally, executive roles in nonprofits, including: University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and The Union Rescue Mission, allow Mr. Stephen to provide his clients unique and innovative perspectives on aligning technology, organizational design and marketing. An expert in his field, Mr. Stephen currently serves as a volunteer Advisor for Personality, a communication and marketing consulting agency in Los Angeles.
Mr. Stephen has repeatedly and consistently built motivated teams while optimizing performance. He is widely recognized by employees, peers, management, and consultants, as an expert authority on Business and Advancement Strategies. His reputation for being a positive turn-around agent is supported by some key professional successes, one of which occurred under his leadership at The Union Rescue Mission. Before Mr. Stephen's appointment to oversee the Mission's Development Division, the organization ended the three prior fiscal years in a deficit, averaging $1,436,667 (2.9%) under budget each of those years. Once given full charge of the Division, Abel Stephen achieved significant turn around in funding -- raising $49,670,000 in FY 2006 to fully meet the organization's expense budget plus another $103,000 in excess revenue; and similarly in FY 2007, raising $48,233,000 to fully meet the Mission's expense budget plus another $736,000 in excess revenue.
He presently resides in sunny Los Angeles with his wife and their two sons.
